It seems that Apple is serious about the future of AR on their mobile devices as they have recently acquired Regaind, a French startup known for its work in the field of Artificial Intelligence if we are to believe TechCrunch’s report.

Regaind’s API has the capability to read the contents of a photograph and identify what’s what. The API can also detect age, gender and emotion from the photos.With the iPhone X, Apple has brought a new lease of life to flagship smartphones.
